What is Baddies Book Shop & how is it different?

Baddies Book Shop is an indie book shop with monthly subscription box offerings. We currently have the Baddies Book Box. We exclusively feature and promote independently published authors and each box includes 2 special edition hardcovers with reversible dust jackets, sprayed edges, full-color end sheets, texture/foil, and the works!

What types of books are included in the Baddies Book Box?

You’ll receive contemporary romance novels with themes like dark romance, bully romance, mafia/cartel, and enemies-to-lovers sagas—all leading to hard-fought happily-ever-afters.

Where’s my subscription? I can’t find it in my account.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit/debit cards, Paypal, Applepay, and AfterPay for non-subscription purchases.

Please note due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we only respond to those inquiries we feel are a good fit for our box. The Baddies Book Box exclusively features indie contemporary romance novels in the following trope categories: Dark, Enemies to Lovers, Bully, Mafia/Crime, and Taboo.

Baddies Reprint Policy

At Baddies, we strive to deliver high-quality, beautifully crafted books and dust jackets. However, we understand that occasional errors may occur.

We reserve the right to determine whether a reprint is necessary on a case-by-case basis. Reprints are typically considered when there is a significant error on the front cover or spine, such as a typo or design flaw that impacts the overall presentation of the book.

Please note that minor errors, such as typos or discrepancies in the blurb or author bios on the dust jacket flaps, do not qualify for reprints. Our team reviews every design carefully, but slight imperfections in non-essential text areas will not warrant a reprint.

If there is a spelling error that is consistent within the text (ie: a quote with a typo where that quote is also misspelled in the text of the book) this will not warrant a reprint as it is a direct quote.

Shipping

Do you ship Internationally?

Absolutely. We deliver globally. International shipping costs are calculated based on size and weight. Additional charges such as currency conversion, transaction, and customs fees may apply for international customers.

When will my book box be shipped?

Our Baddies Book Boxes are dispatched at month’s end in batches. While we aim to ship all boxes by the 20th, some may receive their tracking notifications earlier.

How quickly are shop orders shipped?

We strive to dispatch merch orders within 5-7 business days—often within 1-2 days when feasible.

Can I cancel my order?

Shop orders and open pre-orders can be canceled if we are notified within 24 hours of the order being placed and so long as the order hasn’t already shipped. If the order has already shipped, we are unfortunately unable to cancel your order. Subscriptions, initial purchase and renewals are not eligible to be canceled and refunded.

Returns

Can I return my items?

All sales are final. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate returns or exchanges for any purchases, subscriptions or otherwise.

What if my box is lost or items arrive damaged?

If a book or item from your Baddies order arrives damaged or is missing anything, rest assured, we’ll do everything in our power to make it right.

Should you find any damage, promptly fill out this form within seven days from delivery. 

Baddies is only responsible for the item getting to the delivery address provided with the order. If you choose to use a forwarder, the seven-day window will begin from when it is delivered to the forwarder and all other claims requirements will still apply.

 In your claim, please include photographs showcasing both the compromised item and the shipping package’s exterior and interior. This allows us to better understand the issue and expedite the process. Claims without this will be denied.

Once assessed, our Baddies team will determine the best course of action. This may include sending a replacement or offering a potential partial refund. Please retain your item until we confirm the next steps – sometimes, we might ask you to safely dispose of the damaged product before sending out a replacement. Other times we will request that the item be returned.

What is the criteria for a book to be considered damaged

  • Tears, cuts, or noticeable scratches on the book’s front, spine, or dust jacket that exceed 2cm.
  • Any marks or residue on the book’s front or spine that are larger than 1cm and can’t be removed.
  • Dents or crushed edges that surpass 2cm.
  • Multiple ripped or bent pages that hinder the reading experience.
  • Obvious production defects, like missing finishes.

My item is not Quite Damaged. Now what?

  • Minor blemishes on the back of the book or its dust jacket.
  • Petite white spots or minor scratches on sprayed edges, slight bleeding onto pages, or issues related to the book’s top/bottom edge.
  • Slight discrepancies on sprayed edges.
  • Minor creases at the top or base of the spine, dust jacket, or corners.
  • Pages with a slight wave.
